About Brittany

Brittany Stallone is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in the State of New Jersey. She received her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University, graduating with honors. Brittany has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults within a therapeutic environment. Her treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered therapy, and Behavioral Modification strategies. Brittany has previously worked at The Counseling Center. During her time there she provided individual and group therapy to clients with a variety of mental health disorders including: Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, and Behavioral issues. During this time, Brittany had the opportunity to learn how to work and help clients who developed patterns of negative cognitions, negative beliefs about self, and unhealthy coping skills. Throughout Brittany's educational and clinical experiences, she has built an understanding of the importance of actively listening to her clients and making sure they feel heard. She also understands the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment each time her clients arrive for a session. Brittany strives to prioritize building rapport and trust within the therapeutic relationship by showing empathy for her clients. She will help her clients build self-awareness and identify areas to work towards so the clients can make the changes they wish to see.
