About Julia
Julia Dreyer is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). She received a Masters in Psychology from Pepperdine University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her passion and specialty is in helping young children understand and process difficult feelings and build the foundational necessities for coping with major life events. She also works closely with couples looking to navigate life's difficulties collaboratively, aiming to strengthen their relationship throughout the process. Julia can help couples communicate with greater efficiency and raise emotional awareness between partners. Her approach with children includes externalization techniques to encourage the child to visualize feelings outside themselves, and work through the independently from one another. Julia uses CBT mindfulness techniques to allow the child to understand how and where feelings start somatically. Julia's work with couples includes methods inspired by the Gottman Method and IFS (Internal Family Systems) techniques.
