About Trinity
My ideal client is someone who welcomes diverse problem-solving methodologies and is self-reflective. I am passionate about helping clients with a variety of different issues. I take special interest in technology/social media use, trauma and student-athlete life. I meet all of my clients where they are at and treat them as unique individuals. I use the strengths-based approach, and I help my clients to utilize their individual and community strengths. When meeting with clients, I create a net of safety by holding space where clients can process their issues. I have experience working with clients in marginalized communities. These include LGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC clients, and clients with disabilities. When working with these clients, I use an intersectional approach and I validate the experiences that each client and their community has in relation to their marginalization in society. I also have worked with clients in school-based settings; family trauma and stressors; and assisted clients with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. When working within these different settings, I make sure to use an intersectional approach instead of “cookie cutter” advice. I have found that my clients have opened up to me about their marginalized experiences and how it affects the areas they came to treatment for. This has made my treatment more effective as it addresses macro, mezzo, and micro concerns. Therapeutic techniques that I have utilized include DBT, CBT, mindfulness, strengths-based approach, EFT tapping, and art and play techniques. I encourage clients to express themselves openly when using these techniques.
