About Tylin
I specialize in working with young adults navigating difficult life transitions such as college, careers, relationships, and familial conflicts. In addition, I'm passionate about working with couples looking to improve their relationships, intimacy, and communication while creating a "team" like mindset in order to tackle obstacles. I often incorporate emotionally focused couples therapy to help partners deepen emotional bonds, foster trust, and better navigate conflict. My ideal client is an individual or couple feeling like they have room to improve their knowledge and skills about emotion regulation, communication, and how to obtain future goals. My ideal client may need assistance in gaining confidence, becoming more assertive, and deciphering difficult emotions. I believe psychoeducation and identifying symptoms is the first step to understanding oneself on a deeper level, and emboldening clients with greater knowledge encourages individuals to seek out what is best for them. I believe in the "blank slate" approach, which allows the client to fully lead the session while also validating and exploring their thought processes to improve their existing skills.
